The Mattoni \u010cesk\u00e9 Bud\u011bjovice Half Marathon started traditionally at the square P\u0159emysla Otakara II., accompanied by heavy rain and lightning at the horizon. However, the stormy weather had calmed down ten minutes later. As expected, V\u00edt Pavli\u0161ta was the most successful athlete in the streets of the South Bohemian capital, with the winning time of 1:08:18. <\/span>\u201eAs the torn up parts of the road got wet, it had become more challenging. Running shoes don\u00b4t really suit the road, it was a bit slippery,“<\/span><\/em> said Pavli\u0161ta, who had been in lead of the race from the very beginning. He was followed by Ond\u0159ej Fejfar (time of 1:09:42) and Pavel Kubri\u010dan (1:11:58). <\/span><\/p>\nThe fastest woman was Tereza Hrochov\u00e1, while Eva Vrabcov\u00e1 N\u00fdvltov\u00e1 did not attend as she announced earlier this week<\/span>. „I didn\u00b4t mind the rain, heat is worse for me. <\/span><\/em>The cubes are always unpleasant, so the rain didn\u00b4t bother me that much,“<\/span><\/em> Hrochov\u00e1 described. She triumphed with her best time on this course, 1:12:04. Mark\u00e9ta Gajdoru\u0161ov\u00e1 crossed the finish line seven minutes later, followed by the third Petra Pastorov\u00e1 (1:19:21) who won the previous race in Karlovy Vary.<\/span><\/p>\n2500 runners participated in the annual Mattoni \u010cesk\u00e9 Bud\u011bjovice Half Marathon, among them, for example, Deputy Mayor Ivo Moravec who had participated already for the tenth time.
